It brings me to one of the first essays I had in my Philosophy class: is the human kind good or bad?
A big part of Americans seem to be real Samaritans, haven voted for shared expenses on the public health. But is it compassion for the other or the fear that it might hit yourself one day? Somebody said that kindness is the extreme limit of egoism..
It's interesting to see the country of ultimate individualism and "everybody for himself" mentality turning to a socialist approach.
